Your comfort and safety during flight is our priority. We meet the strictest criteria for crew training and the equipment of our private aircraft.
Your safety during flight is our priority. The Atmospherica Aviation company meets the strictest criteria for the training of operating staff applicable for the operators of international commercial transport.
To guarantee the highest level of flight crew training, our company has created a comprehensive training programme that includes not only the basic training on flight simulators but also recurrent training and re-examination, crew cooperation training and first aid courses for passengers, among others.
Our private aircraft are equipped with systems of early ground proximity warning, an airborne weather radar and a system for another aircraft proximity warning. Similar systems are also used in large passenger aircraft, contributing significantly to the increase in air traffic safety. For instance, they enable safe flight in storm areas, mountainous terrains or the dense traffic of international European airports.
Our fleet contains only two-engine aircraft. Therefore, in the event of a technical failure on one of the engines, the plane can land safely at the nearest airport.
One of the most important conditions for creating a safe cockpit is the co-called CRM – Crew Resource Management. CRM includes the basic requirements and philosophy of communication in a multi-pilot crew. All the flights of our private aircraft are strictly piloted by a two-pilot crew. We do not limit CRM only to crew members; this type of training is compulsorily undertaken by all of our colleagues involved in the safety of flying.
Every 6 months, all pilots have to undergo recurrent training on a flight simulator in the training centre of Flight Safety International or CAE. The 12-hour recurrent training is primarily aimed at dealing with non-standard and emergency procedures and is completed with a re-examination.
The flight simulator enables very realistic exercises at airports from which we normally fly. Thanks to this system, our pilots can rehearse a wide range of extraordinary events, such as engine failure during take-off, that cannot be rehearsed in a real aircraft of this type. In the system designed by our company, the pilot flies 32 hours per year on the flight simulator. Therefore, the pilots are thoroughly prepared for a wide range of non-standard events.
As one of the few operators in the business jet category, we are authorized to fly in low visibility conditions. All our pilots have undergone the strictest training in low visibility flying and are able to land in the most complex conditions. Others will not land; our pilots will.
Our pilots are also authorized to fly to complex airports, such as St. Moritz – Samedan, Innsbruck, Sion, Lugano and other such airports.
